Organisational Culture

It includes your business’ expectations, experiences, philosophy, and values and is based on shared attitudes, beliefs, customs, and written and unwritten rules that have been developed over time. Organisations who share the same values as their employees are among the highest performing and most successful places to work.
What people feel, think, and believe is reflected and shaped by the way they go about their business.
It can be seen in:
the way you conduct business, treat your employees, customers, and the wider community;
how information flows through your business;
how committed employees are towards collective objectives.
In our experience strongly worded memos from on high fail to engage with the heart of the employees as they have had no connection with it, or investment in it. You can plaster the walls with large banners proclaiming new values, but people will go about their days, right beneath those signs, continuing with the habits that are familiar and comfortable.
To bring about sustainable change it is important to involve and engage your employees and to make them part of that journey. They will then be more likely to champion and uphold those values, as they had an integral part in their creation.
AT LMHR we run Values Workshops and Change initiatives for our clients, which include voices from all levels of the business, in order to create a bespoke set of values or goals, as defined by you and your team. These inform all future activities, from recruitment to performance reviews to planning your marketing communications with the outside world. We will support the project from beginning to end as well as ensure that it is aligned to your strategic business goals.
